Liberty Tire Recycling | 2022 Environmental, Social & Governance Report 40 ENGAGING PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES Methodist Home for Children Liberty Tire conducted a Community Service Survey entitled “Volunteering is a Work of Heart” where our employees were encouraged to share the various ways in which they contribute to their communities through volunteer efforts. The inspiring responses provided direction for our $25,000 donation to the Methodist Home for Children, a charity in Raleigh, NC which provides children and families the hope and skills needed to build healthy, self-sufficient, and productive lives. Due to abuse and neglect, there are over 407,000 children in foster care across the United States. This donation was matched by our ownership group, ECP, and was made on Pay It Forward Giving Day, so this deserving organization received a total donation of $100,000! We are proud to support the efforts of the Methodist Home for Children as they partner with public agencies to provide the best in evidence-based services for children and families. In addition to our own volunteer and philanthropic efforts, Liberty Tire supports our customers in their charitable endeavors.
